This was our first time on HAL. We bought the Elite Beverage Package knowing we would want to get premium wines by the glass (up to $15/glass) throughout the ship, but this was not the case. Each bar had it's own wine list and they were all different. Using Sauvignon Blanc as an example, most bars had two from CA, Simi and Foundation, undrinkable IMO. The only place you could get a truly good SB was in the Main Dining Room (MDR) or Pinnacle Grill, Villa Maria NZ. This was a real disappointment based on the amount of money we spent on the package. I understand that HAL can charge what ever they want for the wine, my issue is with the non-availability of good wines in the various venues, Ocean Bar, Lido Bar and Sports Bar.

The other disappointment was the dress code for the MDR where gentlemen cruisers wore baseball caps throughout the entire dinner and on what was considered "Gala Night" blue jeans, t-shirts, etc.
