This was our fourth trip with Celebrity Eclipse. We have always been very happy to be aboard this ship and this trip was no disappointment. We flew into Miami the day before boarding and were accommodated in a very comfortable hotel near the airport. The transfer to the ship though was chaotic and at one point we thought that the Celebrity rep was close to engaging in a fight with the coach driver. I have to say it was not much better when we disembarked. These problems aside everything else ran smoothly.

This was a Caribbean cruise and was to stop at some new destinations for us. No tendering required so each time we docked disembarkation was effortless. As expected we thoroughly enjoyed our visits taking a couple of trips with Celebrity as well as organising our own at the ports. A good as the Celebrity trips were I think we would probably just arrange all of our own in future when in the Caribbean as it is simplicity itself and gives a wide choice on the day.

The staff on board almost almost universally friendly and helpful. We did have one issue which the manager of the section concerned sorted our expertly and to our entire satisfaction. We also had a problem one night when returning to the cabin we discovered a horrible smell outside and inside our cabin. A call to guest relations resulted in the very prompt appearance of maintenance staff who immediately set about resolving the problem. We received a call from guest relations to explain what they were doing and a follow up call the next day. Later on we received chocolates and money off future cruises vouchers as compensation.
