Sail Date: Mar 2018
Cabin: Mini-Suite with Balcony

This sailing coincided with Spring Break for our town. It was our second cruise with Princess Cruises. The ship was very similar to the Golden Princess only larger. There were three adults traveling together and we chose a Club Class Mini-Suite. The cabin was very comfortable for three adults during the day and for sleeping. Once everyone was awake, we would immediately put the sofa bed away for more floor space.

This cruise only makes one port call which is to Cabo San Lucas. We were looking forward to all of the sea days. Unfortunately for us, the weather leaving Los Angeles was chilly which limited our time on our balcony and also limited the time we could watch the Movies Under The Stars. Once we were further south, we had a chilly but very nice evening watching The Greatest Showman with fleece blankets and popcorn. We did an excursion in Cabo called the Exclusive Beach Resort Getaway (or something like that). It was very nice and right on the beach with available umbrellas even though we arrived in the afternoon. It included a drink/cocktail and buffet lunch. From the beach you could see the ship and El Arco (the Arch) which you can also see approaching the port from the ship.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meals on the ship. Since we had Club Class dining, we did not experience any wait for a table during mealtimes. The meals in the main dining room were excellent. We dined in the Crown Grill for one meal and while it was good, I would not reserve it again. Many times for convenience, we dined in the Horizon Buffet and we liked all of the choices there as well. We purchased coffee cards and had many kinds of hot beverages from the International Cafe.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin M1

We had three adults in this cabin and there was plenty of room for us and our luggage. There is a very large closet/dressing area where you can have decent privacy without others having to leave the room. The closet held our three large suitcases with plenty of hanging space for clothes. The bathroom is nicely sized with a tub/shower combination. The balcony, while fully exposed to other balconies, was fine and only require that you bring your own sun protection (sun glasses, hat, etc.).
