Cabin: Mini-Suite with Balcony

We had a discount from a casino and upgraded to a mini-suite which I highly recommend. Our room was R514 (Riviera deck 14th floor) and was more than adequate for the two of us. Bed/pillows were very comfortable, bathroom had a shower and tub, small fridge, sofa with chairs/living room area, two TV's and a nice balcony. I know people say you shouldn't worry about the room since there is so much to do on the ship -- but as one gets older, it IS more important to have space. This was a good decision. Views were outstanding from our balcony.

I have read various reviews regarding slow elevators, rude wait staff, bad shows, etc. Well, in our experience, none of this was true. We always had an elevator available (within a few minutes), ship was marked very clearly as to the location of the dining rooms, specialty restaurants, casino, pools, etc. I cannot express how delighted we both were with the way we were treated on this ship. From the room attendant, to the dining room staff, to the casino host and bartenders to the folks running the shows - these people work very hard for long hours each day and made us feel like royalty. This will be an experience I will never forget and truly hope I can do it again.

We got on the ship within 30 minutes and it took even less to disembark at the end. I cannot believe that Princess has this so organized with so many passengers. I thought we would be cramped and waiting in lines, but never -- there is a reason why they have a great reputation. Very detail oriented. The captain was clear in his messages and always kept us up to date with location, any issues on the ship (medical emergency), etc.
