We picked this cruise as we have never taken one before, and our oldest son and other members of our families have taken cruises before and recommended we take one. So the length and destination were important, especially if we enjoyed this one, we are celebrating our 50 wedding anniversary in 2020 and want to go on the inside passage to Alaska. As we did enjoy this one we intend going to Alaska now.

The only down side to the trip, was the fact that due to weather conditions, we were unable to dock at Astoria, and so spent two days in very rough sea conditions. It would have been much appreciated if we had spent two days in San Francisco, with so many attractions to see there one day was not sufficient . Due to the miserable weather conditions after visiting Alcatraz and Fishermans Wharf it was time to go back to the ship and dry out and change into dry clothes.

Overall this was a good introductory cruise, the ship was good, the crew great and food and facilities were all excellent, well done Star princess.
