I had heard so many negative things about MSC I was worried about going on Magnifica.

I am glad I did though. The staff were fantastic. The food was great, their deserts leave RCI and P & O standing. The time in ports was longer making it easy to see the places.

We also had someone who was using a wheelchair and, although in one port the gangway was unbelievably steep, things were made so easy for us.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B1

Cabin was fit for purpose. Generally clean - on a day to day basis but some bits hadn’t had a good clean for a while- kettle unit, drawers but essentials like shower, toilet, bed etc were all clean nd kept clean.

Port Reviews

Brugge (Bruges)

Easy to get from Zeebrugge to Brugge. Get a taxi. €50 each way. Great length of time in port.

Amsterdam

Actually docked in Ijmuiden. Ship offered a shuttle for a charge but didn’t let on that there would be a free shuttle to Sloterdijk- one stop from Amsterdam. This would have been fine if we didn’t have a wheelchair user with us. Luckily we had friends who could ferry us back to the ship.

Time in port was great- almost 24 hours and could return to ship any time till early morning.

Hamburg

Taxi to centre €20(each way). Lovely city and again good length of time in port.
