we selected princess because we have cruised almost all the other lines (Royal, Carnival, Norwegian, Costa, Holland American) and wanted to try Princess. Embarkation was a bit chaotic, I think it could have been managed a bit better, but once we got on the ship it was amazing. The ship was clean, beautiful and plenty of crew members to answer questions. We immediately went to Alfredo's pizzeria, it was delicious and a nice option besides the buffet, which we do not love. we went to Alfredo's several times for lunch too, it was that good. Also mid ship is a café that there are light meals/paninni's and desserts, loved this option for a snack! The almond croissants and breakfast sandwiches were amazing for breakfast if we missed the sit down breakfast. Our room which was mid ship with an obstructed view (not terrible), I was concerned that we were located near an elevator that there would be a lot of noise, but we never heard ANY! It was a perfect location, close to everything. Cabin E444. Our room steward was OK, we had to ask him to fill our ice and leave more hand towels/soap a few basic things that should have been done. Robes were also not in our room as they were supposed to be, but he did get them. The entertainment on the ship was top notch, better than most of the ships we have been on, so that was nice. Dining was good and bad, we loved The Crown Grill, had a delicious meal and great service! We also had great service in the main dining room, my biggest complaint was that we selected anytime dining (which we have had on other ships) and this was managed poorly. If we were not online by 5:00 we were not eating until 8:00. Also, I did not appreciate the door attendant that complained it was hard to feed that many people at once....not my problem. it seemed even when we called for reservations it was an issue to get the time we wanted. Although I noticed that there were a few people that had the prime tables at the prime time (they were on the cruise for 2 weeks). that was really my only complaint, the food was good and so were the wait staff. Daily life on the ship was quiet, there were options, but not a party ship by any means. Loved the adult pool area, it was quiet and everyone was mindful of not hogging the chairs, when they were done, they removed their towels, not saving the chairs the entire day when they weren't using them. The main pool was fun and not too rowdy, but had some options, along with movies and concerts on the huge screen. The ports were fine, we have been to them before, we enjoyed Megan's Bay on St. Thomas, the beach (cannot recall the name) that we could walk to on St. Martin, and the private island was fantastic in the Bahamas, it was a great beach day and had a nice lunch provided by the cruise ship. We did not feel the need to do shore excursions on these ports. We traveled as a couple and there were minimal children on this ship, not sure if it was the time of year (February). We would definitely travel on princess again, although not if we were going with our children (mid twenties) I think it would be too quiet for them. the only other think I didn't love on the ship is the location of the fitness room, it was right next to the smoking area, so every time the door opened smoke came in, so we chose not to use the room.

Balcony

Cabin BY

the obstructed view that we had was not terrible, there was a boat at the same level as the railing, although we still could see the beautiful ocean, there were a few balconies near us that had the crane for the boats in front of them and that I would not have been okay with.
