We were looking for a relaxing vacation, and 12 nights aboard Grandeur of the Seas was perfect. The crew is the friendliest in the fleet!
Cruise Maryland is a few hours from our home so we didn't have to fly. The staff at the port were friendly and efficient. We dropped off our luggage, and parked within a very short walk to the terminal. We were on the ship within 30 minutes of our arrival at the port. Love this port!
We very much enjoy sea days along with the stops in St Thomas, Antigua, St Lucia, St Kitts, and St Martin. While you could see some evidence of hurricane damage in St Thomas & St Martin, those islands were very much open for business. The downtown area of Phillipsburg St Martin, including the boardwalk and beach area looked like pre hurricane.
The cabin was clean and quiet. Our stateroom attendant, Christopher did an excellent job, and was friendly as well. Lots of towel animals!
Cruise Maryland is a great port! Easy drive to the port, drop off luggage, and park within a very short walk of the terminal. Friendly staff. Easy embarkation. Charm City at its best.
We did some shopping in town, and at Crown Bay. Enjoyed the experience.
There was quite a large shopping area. Good variety of shops. Walked to St John's Cathedral. Although undergoing renovation it's worth seeing.
Despite a devastating hurricane the Dutch side of the island is back! Downtown Phillipsburg including the beachfront is very nice - including the best gelato stand in the Caribbean!
