We booked the Anthem at the last minute wanting to experience a giant ship cruise. The boarding experience out of New Jersey was wonderful. The ship itself is quite interesting and impressive and we really liked our balcony room on the eighth floor. This was our 29th cruise total and our sixth cruise with Royal Caribbean. After six cruises, I can say with confidence that RCL's loyalty program stinks! It is definitely not an encouragement to continue sailing with RCL.

While the staff was very friendly, it’s hard not to get the impression that they are worked harder than staff on smaller ships and other lines. There is a lot of waiting in line on this ship. A lot! We were lucky, because the ship had to skip Coco Cay due to rough seas. We were dreading the whole tendering process on this ship, which had around 5100 passengers.

Royal Caribbean, in our experience has always had the best entertainment. This ship did not disappoint. Advice: If you go on this ship, book all your entertainment before you board, or immediately after. We loved “Spectra's Cabaret” and “We will Rock You!”, don't miss these shows.

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

Nice Room. Actually larger than on most ships.

Port Reviews

Bayonne (Cape Liberty)

Love cruising out of New York. This new port in Jersey is right across from the city. Great pictures.
