Despite the itinerary and best efforts by Cruise Director Adam, Sous Chef Singh, and many staff and crew, our cruise simply did not meet our expectations. The overall condition of the ship was far below the standards that we expect—the ship simply needs a complete overhaul. The amount of maintenance required throughout the ship was obvious to all—it should head to dry dock now. Rust was evident everywhere! Our railing needed to be stripped and re-sealed (many, many months ago). Lights were out throughout the horribly decorated dining room which looked more like a weird funeral parlor than an inviting dining room. The Mad Hatter’s Ball Room was likewise ridiculously designed and entirely too small and I efficiently structured to fit the audiences for the Punchliner Comedy Club. Unfortunately, there was one comedian who couldn’t buy a laugh in multiple shows...far below our standards. Also, most of the singing hear onboard was horrible—aren’t these singers seriously vetted before arrive onboard to sing? The food was mediocre at best, save Chef Singh’s Chef Table, which was excellent—however there was an unexpected additional fee (we believe a gratuity) that was never discussed or seen in written form. We also had two gratuities of nearly $100 each added automatically to our account that showed up on the bill at the last day as we were leaving the ship. This was not expected—we have always left cash for the room steward and helper, as well as the dining room staff. We had already tipped the dining room staff the night before too....
Chopped up room in serious need of real maintenance....,
