We chose this cruise for the itenerary knowing the ship was dated, but had been in dry dock for updates. We traveled with two teens and stayed in an interior cabin. Our room had two beds that folded down from the walls and two twins made into a king. Surprisingly the king bed was very comfortable. The fold out beds were old mattresses and my kids complained about being uncomfortable. Our cabin stewards were amazing. The entire staff on this ship was kind and helpful. Even though the ship is older, there were people cleaning all day everyday to ensure cleanliness. The entire staff works so hard and does it with a smile. Be kind to them! At the end of the day we would have enjoyed a ship with a larger pool or more pools. 1 pool and 4 hot tubs for 2k plus people did not work. We loved the family games and movies they provided as well. We only went to one show and it was good. We did not use the kids club or the casino.

We took the ferry to St. John, rented a car, and were all by ourselves at Trunk bay by 9am. We explored the island and were back by 4. Taxi to red hook is $10 pp, ferry to St. John $8.15 pp or $1 for kids.

We surfed in Barbados with Barry's surf school. They were great. Research what you'd like to do on this island. The taxi drivers all have connections with the places on Carlyle bay and insist on taking you where they benefit. Taxi is $7 pp one way, $10 pp for a chair and umbrella. Vendors bug the snot out of you on the beach all day.

Do not stay in this room. It is by the staff area and we were up all night with the staff working on the other side of our room. Not sure if it is the laundry room, however we heard banging and rolling bins all night.
