My girl friend chose to celebrate her 50th birthday on the Breakaway. It was my first time cruising with Norwegian. I had really good time. The staff was amazing!!!! The only issue I had was my room. I paid for a mini suite ,the room that was suppose to be a suite was NOT. This was my ONLY issue. Other than that, I had a wonderful time!!!!!! The entertainment was excellent the food was outstanding and the drinks kept coming ( lol).I also love the fact that I did not have to travel to another state to cruise. Usually I/we do, so for me to leave from N.Y. and have a good time on a cruise was definitely a plus for me. Embarking was a breeze as well as disembarking. I was home in about a hour. Something that was new to me. Oh!!! The duty free shops a plus!!!!
Cabin Review
Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony
Sucked. I had to LIFT my suite case up and over the bed to get it to the other side of the room. My niece was suppose to travel with us and share the supposedly mini suite. THANK GOD SHE CANCELED!!! Because the pull out couch in which she would have slept would not have been able to be pulled out. The mirrored dresser was directly in front of the couch which left NO ROOM FOR EXTENSION. IT WAS BARELY ENOUGH ROOM FOR ME AND MY ROOM MATE TO MOVE AROUND COMFORTABLY. I HAVE put in a claim about cabin 10192. We also made a complaint on board. Our other guests stayed in 10140. They were the same exact rooms. The staff on board told us some B.S. about it's because the way the room is positioned that is why it look smaller. I knew once I got home that I was going to put in a complaint and ask for the difference in price of a regular room and a mini suite because NOTHING ABOUT CABIN 10192 WAS A SUITE!!! I / WERE TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED!!!! ALSO LET ME ADD WE EACH PAID 2000.00 FOR TRIP AND THE ROOM WAS A TOTAL FLOP!!!!
