Sail Date: Dec 2009
Cabin: Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

We arrived in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, December 5th. We were traveling as a group of 12 and booked 4 rooms at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Airport and Cruiseport (located on Griffin Rd in Dania Beach). The hotel offered free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. The hotel was brand new. It opened the last week of November 2009.

Since we arrived in Fort Lauderdale the day Oasis was leaving, we decided to go to the Point of Americas condos to see the Oasis leave on its' first official cruise. We were able to find parking along South Ocean Dr (free parking until 6PM) and walk onto the beach through the public assess gate.

After seeing Oasis leave, we went back to the hotel. We took the hotel shuttle to the Rustic Inn Crabhouse for dinner. The food and service was great. The All Hands on Deck platter was huge and came on a plate that looked like a huge serving tray.

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

We loved our D2 cabin. The cabin had a full sized sofa and a flat screen TV. It was a nice walk from the elevator but not as far as a AFT room.
