This was our 6th cruise with Carnival. We have never had a bad cruise and this one wasn't bad, it was just disappointing. I think the ship was too big for the amount of help they had on board. Movie nights were good if you didn't want a blanket or popcorn, because the lines were long or there was no one there to help. The ice cream stations were either empty of ice cream, cones, bowls or spoons, or the station was a complete mess with ice cream all over the counter and floor. Sometimes they put an orange cone around it so you would know there was a mess. In the dining room we loved our waiter and the food was fantastic, but, we waited a very long time to get our food. The first night it was 45 minutes before we got our appetizers. It did get some better each night, but our area was always the last out of the dining room because we had to wait so long for our food. We would get pizza most nights and the line was usually very long there and the people making the pizza's weren't having a good time at all. They had one speed and it was slow. They didn't try talk with people or have any communication. They were unhappily there to do their job. We were disappointed in the buffet for breakfast & lunch. We normally see an amazing display of foods and on this ship they were very limited on what was available. Lots of tables were filled with dishes, orange cones were in several places where food had been dropped, the eating area was always in disarray. We were in the casino a few times and once my machine overheated and I couldn't get my money out so I turned on my service button, waited for 15 minutes, then got a cleaning girl to go get help, waited another 15 minutes, a girl came and messed with it for 15 minutes then had to go get the supervisor who was rude and hateful and really let us know how we were wasting his time. We went to a couple of the comedy shows but it was standing room only, so we quit going to those.

We absolutely loved the Polaris Trio!! We listened to them every night. Such a beautiful relaxing time. I know that we will not go on a ship this large again as I really feel it is too big and they are very understaffed.
