So first time on Anthem, and 5th RCCL cruise (after almost 5 yr). We have cruised Carnival, NCL and Celebrity (our favorite). This was spring break so traveled with husband, son (12), parents-in-law and brother-in-law (his very first cruise!). Will start with first impression of ship - HUGE, biggest ship have been on (before that NCL Breakaway had title). There is a lot of amenties and was impressed how clean the ship was at all times, especially with the people (sold out cruise).

Embarkation: arrived at Bayonne around 10:30 and was on ship at 11:30 - the port handles the masses very well.

Cabin: We had a balcony cabin room 6558. Very nice, typical size, balcony was good (warning there is a “contraption” secured right below-did not affect view but could see it). This location was great, right near the elevators and close to public space, though a haul to the pool deck.

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Great room, location was right by elevators, above the Schooner Bar (very convenient lol). There is a “contraption” right below off of balcony. It does not obstruct your view but can definitely see it. If you sit down and look through glass balcony wall the top is eye level - hope the description helps. It was fine to me, again did not obstruct your view out, only when you look down! Everything else in room was great!
