We choose this cruise because it went to Ponce Puerto Rico. We had met people on a previous cruise a few years ago that lived there and said it was a beautiful city. We were not disappointed - old restored architecture, a beautiful square with fountain, lots of restaurants - some shopping. It is not at all touristy and you get a much more authentic Puerto Rico. You dock at the commercial port so need to take a taxi in to town. Was about $10.00 for 4 of us.
In St. Lucia we went to Nikki beach. The white chairs location - did not go into the washrooms or restaurant but the beach was amazing!! Very long, uncrowded beach, great for walking on. Just after noon - when it was it's busiest- I counted 12 people in the water. Can't wait to return to this port and beach!!
Barbados - unfortunately we arrived on a Sunday and it was also Palm Sunday - so 95% of everything was closed. Would have been nice to have known this before we got off the ship - we had a nice walk thru town - but probably would have just stayed on board.
Our aft cabin was fantastic, as was our cabin steward. Except for one night when they decided to clean the engine stacks and covered the whole back of the ship with soot. Not just the balconies - the whole back of the ship They crew spent the day washing everything down. Was a HUGE mess!!
