WE chose the cruise mainly because we were trying to decide between week long trips to Portugal, the Canary Islands and Morocco. Upon arrival at check in, we found out that our itinerary changed dramatically. While we were happy with one less at sea day, we found it frustrating that we weren't emailed the day before the itinerary change so we could do some research on the new ports that we were visiting (now Casablanca, Tangier, Malaga, Cartagena, Alicante, Palma de Mallorca and Marseille). They couldn't help the itinerary change but they could have compensated somehow like 100 free internet for the ship to be able to contact family of change of itinerary and to be able to figure out what the highlights of the area were since no maps are given. (Even Royal Caribbean provides free maps the night before each port).

We did book at tour in Casablanca, because we were nervous to venture to a very foreign (to us) country on our own. Our tour group director was very good and knowledgeable, but we were put off of doing any further tours with Norwegian because frankly they were outlandishly priced and also we didn't like the fact that our tour ended with a mandatory 2 hour long shopping session at at rug shop and a place to buy Moroccan oils and potions. We decided to do the rest of the towns on our own by walking around, to just explore on our own in the immediate area. We were pleasantly surprised that we thoroughly enjoyed the new itinerary, and found new towns that we would love to go back and visit longer (Malaga and Marseilles). We were also unhappy with the forced $15 shuttle/pp to Marseille. We could have possibly ordered a driver or tour guide not from the ship if we knew of the change of itinerary.

I thought the ship was whatever - we didn't really notice that it was fantastic - they tout that it was renovated in 2016 but we can't figure out where???? Common area restrooms had rust, etc. Also, we missed the indoor pool on Royal Caribbean ships.

Cabin Review

Inside

Bathroom is larger than other cruise lines and I could actually move in the shower. BRING YOUR OWN HAIR DRYER. Hair dryer in room is completely useless. Took me an hour to dry my hair!!! Rooms are smaller than both Celebrity and Royal Caribbean. Barely enough room to move around or put your suitcases.
