We are experienced travelers and cruisers– have taken nearly 40 cruises and numerous land trips. We made this cruise with our grandsons, ages 12 and 14, who are also seasoned cruisers, having made 7 cruises. We have sailed widely throughout the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Alaska, the Baltic, the Dalmations, etc. So we are not rookies.
We booked a suite aboard the Carnival Triumph. It was a very roomy and nicely appointed cabin. Huge amount of clothes storage and closet space. Nice large balcony with four, not three, chairs. There was no concierge or butler to pay either, which was nice. Embarkation, as a suite passenger, was quick, as was debarkation. We were able to get off at 8 am.
The bad thing about the cabin was the steward’s annoyance that we wanted the beds made up every day. I paid $4,000 for that cabin. I wanted access to my sofa and the chairs! So we told him that on the first day but on the second day, the beds were not made up. I found this very annoying and went to guest services about it. After that, the beds were taken care of. We had no issue with the cleaning job he did.
Attractively decorated. Lots of light from what was practically a wall of windows. Lots of storage. Two end tables at the bed, which I like. Close walk to everything
