With this being my best friends seventh cruise and the first for myself and our two daughters we chose sensation because it was reasonably priced. After reading other reviews it sounded like the best choice for spring break fun for a family with teens. We had an amazing time! The overall experience was a great one. Everyone we encountered on our five day cruise from staff to other passengers were all friendly and engaging. You read a lot of reviews regarding the food but with so many options between the dining room and lido how can one complain?.. I will say by day two we skipped the sit down dinner because we were occupied with other things. Our two teens enjoyed circle c club so much that we had to force them to catch a show or two with us. Although I have no other cruise to compare my experience to my best friend said sensation was by far her best experience. The cabin isn't huge but heck if you're spending that much time in there you're not having enough fun. We made it work with two teen girls lol.. Two twin beds and the two pull down bunks suited us just fine. Ship, cabin and food areas were kept immaculately clean which was a huge relief because that was my biggest fear. We purchased sea bands on amazon and never once experienced sea sickness or nausea which was fear #2 lol..Amber cove was nice and Grand Turk was nothing short of amazing. If you are trying to decide on an excursion the horseback ride in the ocean is a must! Overall I have nothing but positive things to say about carnival sensation if you are considering it go for it!
