We picked this cruise because of time frame. It had a couple days at sea and visited Cabo overnight (which was very nice). Our cabin was clean and our steward took good care of us. We were not thrilled with the long lines we had to wait in (for everything), no deck chairs (as they decided to varnish an area during our cruise day), long lines to get a piece of pizza or a hamburger, fighting for a table at the buffet area -- because the ship was SOLD out and it made it more difficult due to the number of people on board. Everything had a LONG line (even to get off the ship and back on). There were not enough staff by the pool area so you had to wait at any bar for 20 minutes to get a beer. Staff looked so exhausted and not happy. Our only relaxing time that we felt like we could go and eat in peace was at our scheduled dinner every night at 8 p.m. We had the same table (we did not have to wait for) and our waiter (who was excellent, Herna) was very attentive. We thought we were being too critical but spoke to several past Princess cruisers and they said this was by far the worst Princess cruise they had ever taken. We have taken several other cruises (for the past 20+ years) and never taken Princess. We heard so many good things -- but were sadly disappointed.
Our cabin was clean and our room steward took good care of us. We did have an upper bunk for our 17-year old daughter which was uncomfortable, but we let them know and they were able to make it somewhat comfortable for the remaining cruise. I wish they would have made sure the mattresses for all the beds were checked prior to sailing. This upper was not satisfactory for the amount of money we were charged for a third person in our cabin.
Embarkation and Debarkation Port.
Got off the ship. Took a bike taxi in town the town. Cabo is very clean and shopping is nice. Visited Marina area and had lunch. Went to Medona Beach and ran our toes through the sand.
