Cabin: We had a very nice balcony room on the tenth level. The service for the room as well as all the dining options was excellent. For some reason four of the seven nights our room was saturated with the smell of paint or other solvents. I have asthma and had to sleep four nights with my head wrapped in wet towels. We also had to keep the balcony open all night which was very noisy and made it hard to sleep. We were at the front of the ship and I think they were renovation the deck on the level above us, it really detracted from the joy of the cruise.

Shore Excursions:I have been on four norwegian cruises and I never missed a excursion pickup until this cruise. In the Caymens we were on their tender boat and the excursion left before my husband and i got off the tender.. I followed a shore excursion person until he finally put us with a royal carribean tour which was kinda sucky..you stopped for a photo with stingrays instead of snorkeling for a time with them which is what our tour promised. I lodged our complaint and returned the next evening to see what the manager was going to do in terms of crediting the disaster, the clerk said they removed it totally---when I got my bill it was only 50% and there was NO further discussing it not even why we were lied to. Our other excursions were nice. We chose to do the American Reggata Sail and we were tendered out to the sailboat on a small pontoon and because of the current couldn't tender back to the dock so we cruised across the ocean to a marina and had to take a taxi (which they paid for) .it took a long time and was a bit scary.

Dining: The food and wait staff were excellent as they have been on all four of my cruises. Read more
