This cruise was our introduction to southeast Asia. February was a good time to travel. I read the reviews of the ship before we left and she needed some updating (the refit was scheduled to start at the end of the cruise). Embarkation was a little hectic, even though princess suggests times to board, it still seems like a free for all.
The food was good. Sabatini's was an enjoyable meal. The Sterling steakhouse did not disappoint. Most meals were substantial and enjoyable. The staff was wonderful.
The shore excursions offered many choices. Where tenders were needed, this was a little chaotic getting everyone to shore to get to the excursions. The one excursion which I had a minor problem with was the one titled best of Bangkok, where the shopping experience was at a jewelry factory where you were stalked, everything overpriced and had a very long hour to fill.
Traditional balcony cabin. Normal size with average balcony. Close to aft exit to pool, bar and horizon court.
