Had a wonderful week on the Silhouette during an Eastern Caribbean sailing. This cruise was meant to be a relaxing one, post surgery, so we planned to stay onboard the entire cruise. We have sailed on the Silly before and we’re just as big fans as our first time on her. We breezed through embarkion because I had to be in a wheelchair. Our cabin steward was very personable and always nearby to offer assistance. I had to use a scooter because of a recent surgery, and he was quick to hold doors, and helped set the cabin up so I could easily maneuver. The staff throughout the ship was friendly, efficient, and always greeted passengers with a smile. The food in the MDR was very good-much better than recent cruises on Royal Caribbean. We had breakfast all but the last day, and dinner 3 nights. Specialty restaurants were outstanding, although the food in Qsine is not to our taste, the staff in all four were wonderful. Entertainment was typical of Celebrity. We enjoyed all of the evening shows, especially the aerialists. They were spectacular! The Rock and Rolll show, Billy McGuigan, on the last night was fantastic!! Best show on any cruise that we’ve been on. We had fun at trivia throughout the cruise, enjoyed the “game shows” in the entertainment court, attended a presentation on the Galapagos (our next cruise), and spent most of our time in the Solarium. Glad to see the pool butlers kindly explaining the no children rule to those parents unaware. We stayed onboard throughout, so I can’t comment on the ports, but it was nice to be able to find lounge chairs without any trouble. Because we’re Elite level, we had lots of extra events, and saw many of the officers, including the captain, at most. Disembarkation was fairly easy with wheelchair assistance, but we came into a different pier, so it was necessary to take the shuttle to the parking garage. Highly recommend Celebrity, and the Silhouette. Can’t wait for our next Celebrity cruise!
