While service and food was great, the ship was under renovation while we were at sea. Sanding dust and paint fumes bothered the passengers. We NEVER had full use of the ship. Large sections were cordoned off. One restaurant was permanently closed. Safety violations galore such as evacuation deck partially closed, flammable materials stored on deck, exit doors locked. Several passengers indicated that they had respiratory problems stemming from the dust which could have been toxic based on the labels of the containers. Workers wore mask on and off. Looks like NCL saved a few bucks by performing renovatios while cruising with paying passengers instead of in dry dock where the ship will be this week (Vancouver).. Had i known this in advance we would not have Chosen this particular cruise. That‘s a shame because the personnel, the food, the shows and the food were excellent. Seems like the NCL management did not give a hoot about the paying passengers.
Cabin ok and cabin service was very good.
