NCL decided to begin refurbishing the Sun during our cruise with total disregard for the health and safety of the passengers. Paint chips and insulation floating down from the decks and smoke stacks into our food. People became ill from the chemicals used in the paint and when forced to seek medical attention by the Cruise Doctor, they were charged 100's of dollars in medical fees. The Captain and his staff were less than sympathetic to the concerns of the passengers. The Captain blamed it all on Corporate and said he had no say in the matter. During our Panama Canal crossing, all you heard in the background were jackjammers!!! Could not hear the comments from our guideon the loud speaker as we journeyed through the canal. If you are considering a cruise with NCL, think again... They only care about the bottom line, not the passengers who pay their salaries.
On a bright note... the crew was fabulous! They tried to make a very bad situation bearable. They should be commended for their efforts. NCL management should be ashamed of their behavior and decisions. We have only sailed on NCL. Never again! #NCL worst cruise ever on the Sun
Cabin outdated. Only one electrical outlet in cabin. Couch/pull out bed falling apart. Our Cabin steward, Mark was fabulous, friendly and very attentive to our needs. He and the crew were the only highlight of the trip.
Only in Miami to get the ship
Love the gift shop and local animal exhibit at the port. Great fun and a must see.
Visited mud post and cathedral in Leon. Mud pots were a disappointment. Cathedral interesting. Especially climbing to the top. A lot of locals harrassing tourists to buy trinkets.
Visited Coffee Plantation. Great experience!
Visited bazaar at the port
