I have been cruising since I was 15 years old (3 decades later..) to say that my last RCL cruise was back in 2006. During that time, I had ready been on 3 RCL cruises and always had a wonderful experience. Food was absolutely wonderful and always compare other cruise line menus-food to RCL. I wanted to take my kids on the RCL Harmony and was able to book a few weeks prior to sailing. First of, I was told by my travel agent that there were no more cabins available for a party of 4. I had to book 2 cabins (not connecting) and separate my family (I have two kids under 13). She attempted to contact RCL agent and was told the same thing I was placed on merged call with the RCL agent and was told "I am sorry". The next day ( after I booked) the RCL website had cabins available for 4 people at $700 less expensive. I called my agent and the RCL office, I was told once again "I am sorry..." and I was unable to get a refund or credit.
Shore excursion- RCL was having a promotion ,30% off shore excursion, if you booked online by a certain date. I had to create 2 separate accounts (one for me and the other for my hubby). I reserved an excursion at St. Martin, speed boat tour with snorkling, for both cabins. I quickly paid for my daughter and myself and when I quickly logged in to pay for my husband and sons excursion, the RCL website would not allow me to log in. I was unable to book the excursion and when I called RCL I was told "I am sorry...there are no more we are sold out." I asked how if I just reserved it she replied "We have a glitch on the website....I am sorry.." Once I boarded I made a daily visit to Luis from the ship's shore excursion dept. On the day we arrived at St. Martin I gave me tickets to my son and hubby while Luis was able to get me in to the catamaran/beach day excursion (last minute). Thanks Luis
I only wished I was able to snorkel with my hubby and son.
Clean, beautiful. Only downfall it does get loud because you are on the boardwalk side.
PR is always beautiful. It does get really hot so dress lightly. will need comfortable sneakers.
We did the Rollercoaster. Since this was my first time on this coaster I can honestly say it was "okay". Good thing is that I wont have to do this again.
Water is murky on Nelly beach.
WARNING! Currents are strong but the strongest on the left side of the island. Two kids were being pushed up on the rocks and almost swept away into the ocean. We had to yell for the lifeguard to attend to the 2 small kids. Luckily, the young girl had a floating mat and was able to rescue her brother while 2 other fellow cruisers swam towards them. That could have turned very bad.
