We booked Rhapsody of the Seas for the itinerary. Read lots of reviews and heard the pros and cons about food and noise. We couldn't be happier with the experience. Food was great. Service was outstanding. Noise was minimal. We were in a Junior Suite 8564 and although the sofa bed needed to be updated - just older looking - the room was great. Lots of space, plenty of storage and close to everything. We used my time dining which worked out perfectly. Had the same table and waiter each night which is the way we prefer to go. Service was exceptional and the food was quite good. They add specials to the menu each night so it was always different. With kids we didn't want to go to the specialty restaurants because it's lost on them.Ship has lots to do and we were never bored. We enjoyed it so much that we booked for next year while were still on the ship!

Cabin Review

Cabin 8564
Heard a mixed bag of reviews about noise in the Junior Suites but needed the extra space. Is there noise from above? We occasionally heard a cart rolling but not enough to disturb any of us. We found the room to be more than quiet enough especially at night. We had two adults and two teen and had plenty of space for everything we brought. One suggestion is to bring a power strip...there are never enough outlets for all of the chargers the four of us bring. Beds and furniture we comfortable but the sofa bed was a little tired - stain was visible on the cushion. Great room!

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

  • Lamanai Mayan Ruins
The ruins were something to behold and our guide was excellent. Learned a great deal about the mayans and the temple. Our excursion included a speed boat trip to the site which was breathtaking in it's own right. Lunch was included which was a pleasant surprise - the food was outstanding.

  • Chacchoben Mayan Ruins
We've used Shore Trips on other cruises and they are always excellent. You walk to their office from the pier and even at a casual pace you can make the trip in 20 minutes. Once there the staff is incredibly helpful. You get water and you're checked in fast. Comfortable bus takes you to the ruins - an hour trip but worth it. The ruins are fascinating. Our excursion included a side trip to Seven Color Lagoon which was even more amazing than the ruins. A 20 minute trip takes you to the Lagoon which is basically a private resort. Including our group there were maybe 20 people enjoying the lagoon. Lunch provided was one of the best of the week.

  • Amazing River & Cavern Explore
The secret river is something not to be missed! Incredible experience. Bumpy road to get there but worth the bumps. You get a wetsuit, lifevest and helmet with light and a guide takes you in the cave to explore the river. Breathtaking tour. Not for anyone who is claustrophobic. It gets a little tight in spots and it is a cave. After you're served a delicious lunch. It was one of the best meals of the trip!

  • Trolley Tour
Did the hop on hop off trolley and had a great day. Name says it all, you hop on and off at stops all over the island. Stops cover all things Key West and makes it extremely easy to get around.
