I was disappointed in this cruise. Had it been my first cruise or first cruise with Princess, I am not sure I would want to book another - at least NOT on the Caribbean Princess.

1. I the initial cabin I was assigned (R614) was directly across from a kitchen galley and the noise conditions were terrible with pots/pans banging and talking going on from 5am to nearly midnight.

2, The quality of the onboard conditions were poor: on the Caribe deck, there was water pooling in the hallway for several days, the toilet vac system was a problem for most of the trip. There were buckets to collect water dripping from the ceiling in the BBQ restaurant. And with a few exceptions, the crew was less attentive in general. When booking, I was not told about the ship having engine problems.

My intitial cabin (R614) was directly across from a kitchen galley and the noise conditions were terrible with pots/pans banging and talking going on from 5am to nearly midnight. I had specifically asked about noise when booking and there were no reports of issues with this cabin. It took two days to get the onboard staff to re-locate me to another cabin. DO NOT BOOK R614 (or R612, R610 or R616) unless you like noise.
