After sailing on both an ocean and river cruise - loving them both - we decided to take this one! The ship left from Brooklyn NY so we were only a cab ride away which made it very easy the day of the cruise.....it was raining when we got there, it was raining when the ship left and then it got worse! Holy Moly! a very bad storm that was handled by captain and crew admirably....Because of it our first stop in Bermuda had to be cancelled giving us extra sea time....Yes, it was a very bad storm. We were on 8th level and for an entire night and day there was severe banging from the ships anchor on the sides of the ship. At one point in the height of the storm there had to be a medical evacuation by helicopter and the captain did a wonderful job in less than perfect conditions. Once the storm was over shipboard life resumed! As I said we had a cabin on the 8th floor which we loved....the floor does not have a lot of cabins so it is quieter, easier to get on elevators and had staff that went above and beyond to tend to the cabins.
We attended many of the lectures and found them all to be interesting and different. Our favorite time was show time every night. This ship had talent that could not be believed....each and every one f them was professional and not only that....friendly and helpful! The cruise director was extremely hands on and friendly.
On sea days they had napkin folding class, origami class both of which were fun.
I don't remember the number but it was on 8th level which I would definitely encourage booking!
