This was my first cruise experience and it was "okay." The guys who take your bags when you get off the shuttle ask for a tip. I hate when people ask/beg! Let me tip you if I want. That really irritated me. So on embarkation day one 03/23/2018 the check in process was a nightmare. After joining a long ever lasting line we got sent to the counter to someone in training who had very little knowledge of what she was doing and asking for help from fellow work staff (now I do understand she is new and has to learn, but being that this was my first cruise I couldnt help but think "what did she forget to tell us, I am sure she missed something" So after that process it was time to board the ship. This is where I became very frustrated!! They had a few people standing here and there who should have been telling us where to go but they just stood there never pointed where to turn and there are no signs for me to read!!!! My boyfriend and I had to figure it out on our own and the family behind us with small kids seemed just as lost as us. While you are trying to find your way on your own they stop you to take a picture (and my face had hell written all over it, how about you help direct us where to go instead of taking pictures which they charge $25 for that one photo, so I didnt end up getting it anyway) Eventually we made it to our room, which I was pleased with. Air condition worked, I had no issue there. Day one on our way to Naussau, Bahamas the boat ride was rough, but that didnt bother me much I still went to explore and stuff my face. The staff on the ship was average when it comes on to being friendly. I had no issue with the food and yes it was open bar so you had drunk people, but I guess we never really encountered them because we went to each show/event going on throughout the day. To wrap this up, a Morrissey T-Shirt went missing from our room which was so strange! We searched the TINY stateroom and our luggage with no luck. It was the only thing missing. We left it on the vanity chair to dry because it got wet and came back 30 mins later it was gone and we had fresh towels! We dont think the guy who cleaned up the room took it because he was so sweet, but it was still very odd a T-Shirt went missing and not our other valuable items. On the ship they apply varnish to the rails during the day!!! Not at night when everyone is asleep!!!! When they apply the varnish they use the smallest sign you could think of with a small piece of tape saying "wet varnish" so of course this stained my boyfriend white shirt. We went to ask them if they could wash the shirt, at first we were told a sign was posted so we should not have leaned against it. We replied how about you not do varnish in the middle of the day and use a BIGGER sign that and better tape (because it is very windy, maybe half the signs blew away) She went and spoke to her suprior who said they would wash the shirt for free (FYI washing one shirt can cost you about $10) we made it to Stirrup Cay also, There is nothing there to do unless you plan on doing excursions, which we did. DONT BOOK EXCURSION AHEAD OF TIME, DO IT THERE. The parasail probabaly lasted 2 minutes and the wave runner was lame, you had to FOLLOW BEHIND someone the entire time! Not worth the money. THE STAFF ON STIRRUP CAY WAS SO RUDE also. And yes if you read the other reviews, when you go in March if you are in your 20's or 30's they dont really give a crap about you. My boyfriend and I sat by the hot tub, I had water and he had a Mojito (mind you, we are not on spring break and dont really drink, so we were not drunk) We were told we could not drink in the water but literally right next to us was a old couple who was allowed. For the money they charge I expected more! Unfriendly staff, rude staff-especially at Stirrup Cay and item went missing from our room. And remeber dont ever lean on the railings, you will be covered in varnish.

Cabin O2

I had no issue with my cabin. It was small but I expected that.

Port Reviews

Miami

When we got off the shuttle at the miami port the guy who works for the ship literally asked us for money. We literally hardly had time to stand on our two feet and look around before he grabbed our suitcase and asked for tip!!! Which irritated me beyond words! IF I WANT TO TIP I WILL TIP YOU. DO NOT BEG ME FOR MONEY. I am not even sure if he was the one who took our bags to the ship. He took our suitcase and put it on a cart which was next to him! NEXT TIME IF THERE IS A NEXT TIME I AM TAKING MY BAG TO MY ROOM MYSELF!

Nassau

There was nothing really to see and unless you pay an arm and leg to go to the Atlantis. The people in the Bahamas are very rude. We had one guy yelled at us saying if done plan on spenind any money then dont look at his merchandise. (this was in the staw market) I am born and raised Jamaican girl so I have expectations of the "Caribbean" and Bahamas failed. They do have colorful buildings if you enjoy that. Only thing that impressed me was the cars in that area they stop once you stand at the crosswalk LOL (this was impressive because in Jamaica it is not like that at all) All in All the ocean is beautiful and the sun rise there was too but the people are not friendly at all.
