We went on this cruise for my 21st birthday and just got home from the cruise this past saturday (3/24) I have sailed with carnival before and have been on the Carnival Miracle back in 2009. I was very excited to go on this cruise because in 2009 I had a blast (i was 13 then). I was very disappointed with the ship, food, activities and especially the spa.

The dining room was good food BUT it was so small.. we ordered fried oysters as an appetizer and got two..I ordered shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and got 5 tiny shrimp with less then a tablespoon of cocktail sauce. The servings were just ridiculously small, for a billion dollar company you'd think they could spare some more food on your plates.

The ship itself was outdated, things needed maintenance, there were quite a few things we saw that needed to be painted or updated. Maybe that was just because we are a family who has dealt with boats and my boyfriend is a boat mechanic at a marina. It was just very outdated and needed maintenance. Our cabin lights were broke, the switch to the bathroom barely worked half the time so we just left the light on at all times to save the trouble of messing with it. The toilet seat was wobbly.

Cabin 4K

Cabin Stewart was great, very friendly. But the lights took a minute or two to turn on and flickered (it looked like strobe lights, not good for people who have epilepsy). The bathroom light switch barely worked, the lights also took a couple minutes to turn on. and the fan in the bathroom did not work at all. The french doors did not stay open (I understand there are safety reasons behind this), but it would have been nice to have a breeze. We knew there was an obstructed view but unless you laid on the floor or were a foot tall.. you weren't seeing anything. I wish we had spent the money on a balcony instead. My parents called several times before the cruise because my dad has a scooter and oxygen, they asked if the scooter would fit in their room (they stayed in a different room) and they were told the scooter would fit fine. We got there and it did not make it through the door way and he had to either take it apart to get it inside or leave it in the hall. was a little annoyed that we were told it would fit and then didn't fit. They would have got a different room if we knew it wouldn't have fit.

Port Reviews

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

not enough time here, very beautiful though. found a spot of the boat privately to snorkel, was tons of fun but would have loved more time.

Belize City

just shopping there, nothing much to see.
