We chose this cruise because we wanted to visit the Panama Canal and we have cruised on NCL before and like their freestyle cruising. Overall this cruise was excellent. I was hesitant about an 11 day cruise maybe being too long but this was not the case. We were almost sad to get off the ship at the end. The ship is well laid out and in very good shape and was very clean. Our cabin steward was the best we have had in 5 cruises. Cabin updates with charging ports on the lights were great. The food was very good overall. We ate in 4 specialty restaurants and loved them, especially Cagneys and LaCucina. The food and the service in the main dining room, Grand Pacific was very good and sometimes excellent. It was great for breakfast too. Buffet was often crowded especially on mornings in port but the food and service were good. Bar service was very good. Entertainment on the ship was overall very good. The cruise director, Richard, and his staff were fun. Seemed like there was plenty to do on this ship all day long. We enjoyed sitting on deck and used the fitness center on sea days. Embarkation was easy and getting off was even easier as we carried our own bags off. What made this cruise so special were all of the staff on board. Best crew we have experienced to date. Only issue we had was with our Balcony cabin on Panama Canal Day. Notified the day before that our balcony would be blocked with the SkyCon painting contraption usually kept at the back of the ship. Furious with NCL for not noting this ahead of time as I would have selected another cabin. Guest Service person who took my anger was very nice however! If you are doing the canal avoid this cabin. Otherwise take this cruise. It was awesome.
