We chose the Pearl because it sailed out of New Orleans. We are a family of five and stayed in the two-bedroom Haven. We do not like the bigger cruise ships. Pearl fit our family perfectly. We are not picky so all of the restaurants and activities were great. I like that we went to 4 ports with two sailing days. Our Butler Leo, and all the Haven staff made our vacation extremely special! We could tell that everyone liked their jobs and they always had a smile on their face. The ship did not feel crowded and we loved walking on the jogging track, or the open deck. Cagney's steakhouse food was our favorite. The steak was superior. We enjoyed the unlimited food and drink package. The only issue I felt like was a concern was that we paid a premium price, early on, to stay in the Haven. Now NCL has a bidding process where the cabins may go for a cheaper price. I just wish they would price cabins fairly and not punish the folks that book early.
Our cabin was clean and had plenty of room for our family of five. We loved taking a bath our shower, as the bathroom was huge. We had ample closet space. The coffee and tea selection was excellent and the beds were very comfortable. The best part was sitting in the comfortable chairs on our balcony and watching the water.
