Chose this cruise with the time spent on the Mekong and the special excursions into life on the river. Ho Chi Minh was bustling with time at the market and city "must see's". The Jahan was a refuge from the city...wonderful crew and accommodations. The Lindblad leaders were outstanding... everyone of them. They each brought their expertise to the group and our Nat Geo expert was excellent. The food was delicious and each staff member always greeted us with smiles and pleasant personalities. Each visit along the way was informative of river life and all the local guides were most inspiring and passionate about their countries. The trip was beyond expectations on all levels. Despite the 95 degree heat everyday, it certainly will be one of our best trips ever!! SE Asia is a world apart from the USA and quiet and insight into how these people live and are so happy with so little. The river people who live on boats and rely on their fishing for income and the little towns who also sell their vegetables at road side stands...the many many markets at all the tourist sights...a way of life that was fascinating to see.
