This was our fifth cruise, 3rd on Celebrity, first time on Aqua Class. We Loved Aqua Class especially the Blu Restaurant - top notch food, decor and service! We enjoyed everything about this cruise. Lots of entertainment available, activities were good, the staff was terrific. Of course we loved our balcony stateroom on the 11th floor. Wonderful room steward, Moreno. Some of the Aqua class amenities we enjoyed: shower jets, foot stool on balcony, afternoon snack (although tiny portion really enough for one), daily iced tea was nice. The only small disappointment was that we asked if we could switch the sparkling wine for a bottle of red wine, but they said they did not have any red wine, oh well...
The Silhouette is a beautiful ship that is immaculately clean with an outstanding crew and staff. It did not feel crowded either. So many opportunities to relax and have fun as well, silent disco, dance parties, game shows, great smoke-free casino and much more!
Great cabin with bed near slider. Had overhang so provided a lot of shade which works for us.
We were going to take a cab to the beach, but we spoke with a couple who came back very early and said there was lots of rotting seaweed so they decided not to stay at the beach.
The port area with all the stores was not especially appealing to me. Although not old, the little stores had a musty, unpleasant odor everywhere.
Tender port, so a bit of a hassle. When you are off the ship, plenty of shared rides to 7-mile beach, $5 per person. They are there to bring you back as well. Takes you to Calico Jacks and a person will approach you as you enter the Calico Jack's beach area to offer you chairs: $15 for two chairs and umbrella, walk to the left and it is less crowded than off to the right. Beautiful beach and water, such a great beach day!
