The ports of call sounded amazing but most had to be reached by tender. Queues for tender tickets were long, some days we didn't get off the ship till lunchtime because of this, tenders were hot, cramped, smelly and dangerous at times. On Komodo island following long queues in red hot sun we had to crawl into the tender on hands and knees! There was a lack of singers and staff didn't remove towels from unused sunbeds. The ultimate drinks package sounded good, but no rose wine from day 6, no cider from day 12, soft drinks in short supply and the ship not re-stocked properly in Singapore. Staff In charge were often rude when questioned and there was a lack of information generally. Bar and restaurant staff were run off their feet but remained generally helpful and polite. Entertainment was very good especially Burn the Floor and Cirque Bijou, who received standing ovations, have never seen better cruise shows. Hotwire and 24 Karat and Nathaniel also excellent in the bars round the ship. The food was good in general but menus were very repetitive, the menu in Chin Chin was small and never changed in 29 nights! Ship tours were expensive and Marcus the Tour Manager ranged from being ott friendly to rude and dismissive! It was the trip of a lifetime, we made the most of it but NCL need to improve their act.
