We chose this cruise because we wanted to just get away, and enjoy some warm weather. We did that! however, we were greatly disappointed with many things this cruise. it is very obvious that a big staff reduction has taken place in all areas. Service on lido deck, in the showroom , crows nest, was very poor. I had a problem with my computer, and there is no technician available to help. Why? Everyone is not an expert with todays technology. had to get a refund for my computer time, as i could not connect to comcast, for my e mail, and no one could help me.
The dining room service was very spotty. Very few days, did we have our entree before 6:30, for our 5:30 reservation. Our table was #50, and we all complained. Our table consisted of 4 and 5 mariner and above, so this is not what we were used to.
The new tour department, is not very friendly, nor are their tours described good enough in the brochure. They did not want to answer direct questions. With very long piers, it is very difficult to walk the pier, in the hot sun, for 80 year old people. i was told twice, there would be transportation, but there was not. The one land and sea tour, there were not enough seats on the boat, for all of the people to be seated. Not acceptable at all.
Size wise i t was very good. Bed was very comfortable, good blankets and pillows. however, the cabin is in great need of refurbishing. Couch and chair were both very dirty.carpeting needs cleaning or changing. bathroom room fixtures, need replacing. Tub plug didn't work. Very disappointed at condition of room.
It is very obvious, that the staff has been reduced in numbers, and you could certainly tell.
Was told there would be a bike rickshaw, to bring us ashore, because of the long pier, it was not available. YOUR GUESTS ARE NO
