Sail Date: Mar 2018
Cabin: Junior Suite

Majesty of the Seas (Majesty) was in dry dock for the month of February 2018. We enjoyed the new features that were added: our junior suite had new beds, furniture, curtains and bath enclosure. We also noticed new indoor/outdoor carpeting on Deck 12. I am sure there were many other enhancements that were not as noticeable below deck (engine room and toilet system). Majesty uses the newest cruise dock at Port Canaveral, Terminal 1. The parking garage is adjacent to the cruise terminal so there is no need to get rained-on like all the other terminals. Traffic is far less congested than those servicing Disney, Carnival and Norwegian Cruise Lines.

The menu in the main dining room has changed since dry dock. It is probably more efficient for the waiter to obtain orders for the appetizer, entree and dessert all at once. Service is warm, friendly and efficient.

We enjoyed the Junior Suite. It doubles the cruise points for Crown and Anchor Society Members. There was adequate storage and drawers in the room but storage and shelves in the bathroom were sorely lacking. It is rather small compared to other junior suites in the Royal Caribbean Fleet. It has173 square feet with a 60-square-foot balcony. The balcony has a table and two chairs.

Port Reviews

Nassau

Majesty is in Nassau from 08:00am until 9:00pm. Personally, I would not be in Nassau after dark for security reasons. I enjoy taking a short walk to Pirate Republic Brewing to enjoy their craft IPA (Island Pirate Ale). The beer is fresh, cold and one-half the price you would pay on the ship.
