Cabin: Interior

I chose this cruise because it was a gift and 10 family members were going. My sister and I were in Cabin 8453 - in the back. We liked the interior cabin because it was quiet, well away from foot traffic. Our cabin steward was extremely nice and polite. The cabin air conditioner was always on the highest setting and the room never seemed to cool down, especially after opening the front door. I have been on Carnival cruises in the past (and older ships, too) and the food on this ship was not to the standards set before - a disappointment. Dinning service was lacking, very slow. We had 6 pm seating and the last table to be served. As a result, most of the time, we were the last to leave - sometimes chased out! Embarkation was fast and easy. Activities were lacking. For me, good activities were scheduled while in port; then the unusual stuff while at sea - no surprises. Interesting activities were scheduled during dinning time. Entertainment was lacking, too. At least two nights, there was nothing scheduled in the theater - bingo was scheduled. I personally did not take a massage, but I was told by two people that it sounded like people were playing basketball above, lot of balls bouncing and jumping/running feet. On-board experience was the usual. Public restrooms were hard to find (not marked well); however, clean. The sea ray shore excursion was wonderful and would do again. Amber Cove had free zip lining and the large pool was roomy enough for lots of people. As for value of money, this was a gift, but I will not be on the Glory again. I will give Carnival one more try, but on a newer ship.

Cabin 4A

Larger Interior Cabin 8453 - in the back. We liked the interior cabin because it was quiet, well away from foot traffic and near the upstairs buffet and the downstairs dinning room was easy to get to. Our cabin steward was extremely nice and polite. The cabin air conditioner was always on the highest setting and the room never seemed to cool down, especially after opening the hallway door. The safe does not use a pin number. It must be opened and closed with the stateroom card. So, if there are two people in the cabin, only one card will open and close the safe - not convenient.
