some dishes exceptionally good    self service food generally ok    we just preferred to formally be waited on in the evening  rather than self service     most of the staff were lovely      any minor problems or queries   the staff at the main desk soon sorted    room steward was good 

cabin was perfectly adequate     balcony  and room service very efficient  I generally phoned for coffee and croissants   - never had to wait more than ten minutes 

total chaos getting the lifts on the last morning to get off - we were early - taking our own cases    but no lifts   they were out of action   staff still moving suitcases we presume    you cant get from the 12th floor without using a lift   it took 45 minutes for three of us  to get lifts   we had to split up  in order to get down   that was badly organised 

entertainment ok  we only did 2 singing dancing shows   others were not my cup of tea 

some nice singers in other bars which we preferred

drinks expensive   but as they are on many a cruise ship 

I made my one bottle of wine  allowed on board last !We were very fortunate with the weather     always dry   apart from drizzle in the fjords one morning     some windy weather   but didn't cause too many problems 

a very large  ship   and fully booked   = too many people at times  in the central area of the ship   occasionally a queue  to go into dining room 

only one slow tender call     and that was on The Falklands   because it was a long sail to the port  hampered by strong winds  

food was ok     occasionally very good   once or twice awful - I did notice that if I didn't eat my food  the waiters didn't bother to ask why and was it ok ?
