We had been on this very same ship 15 years ago for our first ever cruise. It was a newer ship then so we didn't know what to expect 15 years later. We were so pleasantly surprised. Princess has made a lot of changes to other ships we've been on (Coral Princess, Caribbean Princess) where they have cut off the promenade deck by installing additional cabins, or moved the lovely gym from the top of the bow to the inside of Deck 4 or 5 -- they have not done that to the Grand. You can still do a workout while you look out at the sea, and you can walk completely around the lovely promenade deck, and if you do three circuits, you've walked a mile. I loved that they hadn't cheaped out in those areas on the Grand. Yes, she's an older ship, but I didn't notice any smell or mildew or anything else. I thought she was beautifully maintained. The entertainment was excellent, the cruise director was the best we've ever had in all of the 8 or 9 cruises we've done (Shout out to Dave!), and I'm not sure what a previous writer was saying about the Wheelhouse Bar being gone (replaced by the Crown Grill?) -- it's not gone -- we had a few evenings in there listening to the live band they had playing. We visited most of the bars and entertainment venues and had a fantastic time.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MB

Nice cabin. Balcony is totally exposed which is less than awesome, but it is spacious.
