Absolutely LOVE the cruise. This was my first 7 day cruise. I've only done 3 day ones previously and it's amazing how much stress just melts away around day 4-5. I took full advantage of the $50 per port shore excursion credits and crossed dolphins and sea lions off my bucket list. I wish 'relaxing catamaran rides to (where ever) didn't feel the need to include blaring music the whole way, but that isn't really the fault of NCL. I still don't know what the big deal is with shopping though (duty free or otherwise). Tip: Print out your vacation summary or any information you may need at least a few days before your cruise. I forgot to do so, and MYNCL moved the cruise to my historical cruises (no detailed summary) the DAY OF my cruise. (Couldn't find my itinerary the morning of my cruise.)

I didn't like the daily announcements that woke me up every morning. They mostly covered what was already in the daily newsletter, and only served the purpose of waking me up on days I would have preferred to sleep in. They have announcements that broadcast in the room, and ones that broadcast in the hall. The ones out in the hall wake you up too, so what is the difference?

I saw the hit show 'For The Record' by the Brat Pack 3 times. It was really amazing! Stay away from the casino. I went every night and never saw any 'winners' but I guess that's the point of a casino. :)

Cabin IX

I loved this cabin location! I was about 5 cabins away from the Aft elevator. It was the last cabin in the row so VERY LITTLE FOOT TRAFFIC there are crew areas across the hall (ship forward from my cabin) which are mostly only active during the main part of the day, when I'm not in my cabin. I wish the camera they broadcast from captains view (forward) included real audio from outside and not music, but I just turned on the TV and turned the sound down/mute. I really liked how you could track your onboard spending all the time on the TV - it helped me budget the trip really well.
