Just had two weeks aboard marella discovery 2 and could not fault it. our balcony cabin was always meticulously maintained by Anna our cabin steward. The ship has been refurbished to a high standard, although on the balcony there is evidence of all the players of paint. Staff as always were friendly, with a real smile nothing was too much trouble for them.
chose this cruise because of the different points of call which in the first week made it more of an experience than the usual ports of call. Mayan ruins at Belize worth a visit. Roatan Island and Trujillo interesting, at Trujillo on a sunday band playing in the square, local beach friendly bars had lobster delicious. Second week main reason for cruise as visiting Havanna, loved it, ride n a 1956 Buick convertible, walk round the old town, national hotel worth a visit, in the evening visited tropicana slightly disappointed expected wider variety of music, costumes colourful, but each dance seemed almost the same - Cozumel enjoyed the shops and town square in the evening have a fountain that was dancing to music - enchanting. Grand Cayman, lovely relaxing day at a local beach.
Food good did try the speciality restaurants - well worth it especially the turf and surf - delicious.Would definitely travel with them again - seemed really good value for money.
Very comfortable an well looked after
