I am a gold member with NCL. This is my 5th cruise on them and 10th cruise overall. I had wanted to maintain loyalty with just NCL. This will be my last cruise on NCL. When I go on vacation, I want to relax and get away. I rarely get time off and I need a break. NCL nickel and dimes you at every single moment to the point where you feel like you are being harassed.

- They say "Free shore excursions" but they only give you $50 total and shore excursions we went on were $109 per person. They were overcrowded, overbooked and absolutely terrible. We did the manatee kayak in Orlando. They didn't even have enough kayaks for us. The one we got in first was leaking. The paddles were broken and put together with tape. There were over 70 people in the water so there was no way you could hear the guide and no way we were going to see any wildlife. It was terrible. They were supposed to have 1 guide in front, 1 in the middle and 1 in the back. They had one in the front and one guy on a paddle board that was close to him... no one in the back. I spent the entire time just trying to keep up and by the time we got to the river we literally paddled on the river for about 5 minutes turned around and paddled back. It was the worst day ever.

- They charge you a mandatory $16.99 per person for tips. I had a family of 6 and we were in the Haven so we got charged $101.94 per day for tips. Come to find out, this does not include most of the tips, we still had to tip the bartender, the concierge, the butler... It only included tips for the restaurant. WHAT!? And my guess is there is no way they were tipping that restaurant staff $101.94 for tips per day from us. WHAT A RACKET!

Cabin Review

The Haven 2-Bedroom Family Villa with Balcony

Cabin H4

It was just OK. The windows were FILTHY and we couldn't even see the views we paid for.

Port Reviews

Great Stirrup Cay

This port was a dirty overcrowded island that is nothing like the private islands that other ships have. They don't even have cabanas.
