Our first Viking Cruise experience was one of most enjoyable cruise experience to date. Initial information was very helpful and airline reservations, transfers and boarding were handled seamlessly. The staff from our cabin attendants to the dining room staff could not have been more attentive and accommodating. The scheduled and optional side trips were worth doing although two of our optional side trips were cancelled. The substitution of Christiansted on St. Croix for Tortola was disappointing and we did not think their was “equivalency” in that substitution, but hey this was the result of Hurricane Maria. The on board entertainment was very good to excellent. We both enjoyed the small size of the ship which facilitated interaction with other guest. The spa was a real standout and exceptional. Recommend the introduction to the star immensely. It was fun and informative. Ample options for dining were available and the food options were of high quality. We would recommend that an ATM be available on board, since there are no provisions for getting cash on board and ATMs were down at a few ports or only offered Caribbean dollars. After this trip Viking Cruise Lines are on our radar and we will be cruising with this line in the future.
