the reviews on Viking were the main reason we chose this route for our first European trip. Even though our trip to and fro were, to say the least, poor, Viking outdid themselves in every way possible. On the way to the ship we were approx 24 hours late due to all kinds of planes, trains and cab problems. In the end, Viking backed the ship up in the river, and picked us up at a small dock in south of Nuremberg. While they were backing up the ship to pick us up, all we could think was "who does this". The rest of the trip would be answered with Viking. From the fantastic tour guides, to the food and amazing social experiences, it truly was a trip to remember. We did several optional tours, including the carriage ride through Vienna and we have amazing pictures of all of it. Viking is not a standard cruise, but you get up each day excited about where you will be, what you will see and the stories told.
