This was supposed to be a seven day cruise but NCL reduced it to six days to accomodate unscheduled maintenance that required the ship to be in drydock the day we were scheduled to sail. NCL provided a one night stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort and transportation to the pier on the original departure date. A VERY nice facility.
The stop in Maui was changed from two days to one because of the shortened cruise time. This made for a bit of a mess with scheduled excursions (not booked through NCL). We visited Hilo and Kona on Hawaii (the big island) and Nawiliwili on Kauai (our favorite island). Our planned excursion on Kauai (Wailua River Cruise) was cancelled due to flood warnings and the possibility of torrential rain.
Traffic in Honolulu/Waikiki is insane and I was happy to get aboard the ship and get out of there. We did take advantage of touring Pearl Harbor and took a "Circle" tour of Oahu. There is much to see and do on Oahu and Pearl Harbor is a 'must see'.
Very nice cabin but a bit tight for storing unused luggage. Lots of drawer space and large closet. Nice bathroom. Very large deck area with lounge chairs as well as comfortable straight back deck chairs.
