Previously sailed on NCL Sun and loved it. Service on the Epic is extreme - either very good (in few cases) or really bad (most).
Embarkation - the original woman checking us in was super bubbly and nice. However, her computer kept crashing, so we were passed off to another woman who seemed to be confused easily. As previous NCL cruisers, we were surprised that we wouldn't receive priority boarding (a rep we called before hand told us otherwise). When we mentioned this, the rep just said, "Well, they shouldn't have told you that." No apology or anything. Uh...okay.
The ship itself is just gorgeous, impressive and clean. Ports of call were great. Loved Stirrup Cay (sting ray excursion was awesome). Food options on Stirrup Cay were delicious. It looks like they're in the process of building a zip line here, which looks fun.
The layout of this cabin was the most cramped of any we've had before (luckily, we don't spend a great deal of time in the room). The room did have lots of great storage. TV volume wasn't working on the first day, so we couldn't really listen to ship instructions upon check-in to our cabin. It seemed like our balcony was a touch larger than other similar size cabins. Overall cleanliness was good. Beds were very uncomfortable - each night, I woke up several times throughout the night.
Take advantage of the Cocoa Beach pier or Cocoa Village while you're in the area. This terminal is pretty nice.
No excursions - we just took it easy and walked around the shops here. If you can find it, get the conch fritters and peas/rice inside the terminal area - awesome!
