This was our third cruise and first time on Norweigan. We have sailed twice on Carnival and will probably go back. We sailed with a 14 year old and 2+ year old along with another family.
Ship:
While the refurb brought most of the areas up to date, you can tell this ship is aging a bit. The layout is dated when compared to the newer ships but that is to be expected. The kiddie pool area was a decent size but the chairs for adults were mini sized and limited so don't expect to hang out there in comfort while your kid runs around. The ship only has one main pool and it was cold. The positive side was that the pool is surrounded by 4 large hot tubs and you could usually get into one of them. Another issue we had was the rear of the ship smelt like diesel fuel to include the interior spaces on the last 3 days.
Cozumel is a fairly poor area and if you are planning on doing something other than a beach break or boat excursion, you are better off staying on the ship or close to the terminal.
This is an excellent port with tons of different activities available at an extra charge. Lots of space on the beach and the pool is huge. We really enjoyed this stop.
