They like to brag that they make their own mozarella. It's not bad.

I think if this was our first cruise ever, we would have thought this was an OK (not great) cruise. But we’ve cruised before with Holland America and Carnival which had given us certain expectations that MSC fell far short.

We picked this cruise because we liked itinerary. We wanted to see as much of Europe as we could in a short period of time spending the least amount possible on transportation. However, we also wanted to go as a multi-family group that included my parent in-laws, and sister and brother in law. Because the in-laws are older, they do not like to travel this way. So as a compromise, we all agreed to this cheap cruise. We viewed this cruise as a glorified multi-city RyanAir flight. But we’ve been on cruises before, and they can’t be truly as bad as RyanAir can they?

Cabin Review

Cabin Exterior

We had cabin 11043 which has a balcony. It was an good size for 3 people. Our 4 year old daughter slept on the couch bed. Minor complaint that the closet storage space is severely lacking compared to the Holland Zaandam and Carnival Vista rooms that we’ve had (both were cheap interior rooms too might I add). Most of our clothes had to stay in the suit cases. There were only 6 hangers.

The washroom was new and clean. Minor complaint that while there was shower gel and shampoo but no conditioner.

Also weird that the hair dryer is permanently attached to the desk drawer with no indication that it is there. We didn’t find it till our second day.
